Christmas gifts, Explosion mani

And yet again an other mani inspired by one of the designs of nailside! Explosion manicure by Nailside. I love her tape manis! Well for Christmas I tried to do her explosion manicure for a second time. It turned out quite well. Not as nice as hers, but I'm not as practised as she is. And sorry for my tumb :P I do quite like the purple glitter over it tough :P It's opi's Divine Swine. I got for Christmas! I just had to try it right away.

Helloo there. My last many held really well. So it took a while before I did a new one
This is the result :P actually a free hand from my side. I don't really do freehand, I used to before I knew what konad was. But I tought I was way to bad at it :P
I was inspired by two other blogs
The nailside - snowflake  tutorial 
and Kayla Shevonne - snowflake glitter Gradient. 
I didn't really like the huge snowflake, so I choose to make smaller snowflakes. I don't have special brushes, so I used a white tipper polish (with a tipper brush) from b.pretty.

It does work, but when buzzy the brush gets thick with dried polish. That is why I ruined some flakes :(

And help me, my mom want's me to do the same mani at her nails this sunday !

Catrice- Lovely Sinner, without topcoat

 nope this isn't what I bought during Christmas shopping :P it is a new polish tough Catrice - Lovely Sinner  from their welcome to las vegas line. OMG I love this one so much. I've seen some negatives about this polish and some positives. I'm positive. It's a lovely slightly pinkish red with a small glitter in it. Compaired to what I'm used of catrice it needs some layers (3 normally I use 2)
Oke it turnes out a bit uneven, but nothing a top coat can't fix right? A great Christmas colour and I'm in love !!

And now to make it even more Christmas :P I added a nice golden crackle, the Herome Crackle gold Geneva.
I love how it lookes. The soft gold of Gold Geneva and the strong sparkling red of Lovely Sinner. 
Germany I'm good to go :D christmas shopping :D Time for starbucks, marrons (chestnuts) and gluwwine. 

Blue midnight turn black

With flash and without. Yea the many is already wearing off. I made it last Thursday so that's ehhmmm *counts on her fingers* six day's ago :P It's my B-pretty Dark midnight. A beautiful dark navy blue. But I guess layered over everything except for silver and white it will turn out black. If you look really good, and in certain light it does look blue. But most times its just black. But oh well. It's less hard than a real black. And it turned a bit darker after I added the top coat. Or maybe it just looks like that. Coming weak I'm starting with Christmas colours. God I love Christmas. We will go Christmas shopping in Germany coming Saturday. Looking forward to it!

Ow and look how the cold weather is killing my cuticles. :(

There were two things I really needed to do. Make an quite simple French many (so standart colours) and do some stamping. Well, I'm still not a star at stamping. But it turned out quite oké ! Just one side, my realy konad polish never really seams to dry. When I need to ad the topcoat the brush isn't allowed to touch the naile cause it will smudge... Weird.. Wel the result. I  liked it, besides from my stamping fail and the smudge of the top coat. Twice I got asked if these really are my real nails :P

And after I added some nail decoration hearths. Just one on every index vinger. Should really make a note that I have to ad two layers of top coat over the decoration. Lost them within a day :P 

Flakies mattefied

Cause I hated that it was smuged during the night. I added a matte coat :P  I like !

Well  Nothing special today. I needed something quick Ow and I need to stop using that old topcoat. It doesn't apply that well any more, has an immense long drying time. It was really dry on touch yesterday evening, and smooth, but when I woke this morning :S Damn... Still love the black and flakies tough :D

New blog layout and Herome golden crackle

Heyyy !!

Maybe you noticed but I've been playing with my layout for a while. I wanted it to look a bit more professional. And I didn't really like the way blogger composition. Luckely I have some HTML experience, and blogger allows you to play around with the Html /Css codes. So I made a new header and rearranged everything a bit. And used the regular blogger design to redo the colours and the fonts. Let me know what you think!! Better or worse ??

Herome Crackle gold Geneva

And now my current mani. Remember my last ?? with the stars. Well a little note on that one. Cover it with at least 2 but even better 3 topcoats !! The stars were quite sharp and tented catch everywhere.
So I pulled them off, and to cover up the ugly holes it left I grabbed my gold crackle from herome.
In comparison to the herome Blue Malibu. Their light blue crackle this one really dries matte. While Blue malibu dries really sparkly and shiney. C. gold geneva is a little low on the shine and less on the sparkle. It's still a really nice light gold tough. 
I added really thin layers cause I didn't really had a lot of time. Picture is with one topcoat. 

Catrice Purplelized ! and stars !!

I got this polish for my birthday from one of my very best friend <3 Anyway, She just knows I love purple, so She got me this beauty! I have to be honest, I looks a bit less purple in real live.
 First picture is with flash, second is just daylight.
I love the colour, I mattefied is one time so(forgot to take pictures long story sorry >.<) and it's awesome that way to! It's a dark purple with a sparkle trough the whole polish. If you look at the polish in the sun of a bright light red and blue glitter will be visible reaaaaallly pretty !! :D



And Yesterday I was in this budget store.. 1 euro shop or something. And they had this cute nail decoration bottles !! I just couldn't leave them XD (there were some nail stickers and stuff but I only bought the bottles.)
They were 2, euro 50.

 They are soo cute! Not all that glittery :P as you can see the stars and the hexagonal shaped do sparkle really well.
There are little pearls, hearths, stars, flowers, small glitters, and really big glitters.
I tried to use, Herome Salamanca for a konad, it didn't really got well. Pitty !! Maybe if I mix and match or I should just buy a golden konad XD (need a job first.) (ok you barely see it on the picture) Don't know why the bubbles came up.. I guess my top coat is old.

You have to put the decoration on your nails with some nail glue. I'm not really a talent XD but oh wel my right hand went better than my left :P (above left beneath right)

Herôme's new Crakle series

Yep I already showed you guys that I bought two of them. The new Crackle's from Herôme
First: It's kind of hard to find commerial pics of them on the web.. Strange... But o well
They have 6 colours.
Red, White, black, dark blue, light blue and gold.
The only really origanal color is the light blue in my opinion.
I bought the gold and the light blue. Both are heavy with the glitter. And quite metallic like. I really love that.

The bottles: I think those are a minus. Only the display in the shop tells you these are crackles. The bottles are the same as any of their other special editions, noting else but a C. at the beginning of the name indicates these are crakles. Bad job herôme !!!!
(even my mom was: Those aren't crackles. By just looking at the bottle)

Most crackles come with an explenation, or a how to do. These don't so just like I do the other crakles I take a layer of colour I like (herome lisbon) and let it dry very well. Most dark colours of herôme are one coaters. So on a couple of fingers I just added one layer. On others I had to ad two.

This picture is without a top coat.
As you can see. I just added one coat on my ring, and middle vinger. And the crackle took the polish with it! So a important note! You need two coats of your base colour. Or maybe one coat and a topcoat to make sure the crackle doesn't take it on a walk.
I used quite tick layers as I love the most. If you ad thin layers it will crack more, just like with most crack polishes. I added a bit to much on my ring finger as you can see.
It is already shiney without a top coat. Something quite rare for a crakle, but I guess that has to do with the glitter and the metallic.

And as last a picture with topcoat. Not really that much diffrence.

Overall conclusion: It's great Herôme comes with some pretty crackles as well. They are much cheaper than the leader in the crakle market Opi. With about 7 euro for one bottle. And much easier to get than China Glaze. You can buy it at the almost any local herôme selling point.

weak points: The bottle doesn't really say Crakle. Wich is kind of confusing. And you need to at two layers under your crakle coat to get the best effect.

Ok. The nails have to wait till tomorrow :P I don't want to spam you haha :P (and they kind of failed so I'm thinking of cleaning up those nails and re-do them. But o well we will see.)
Well I kind of started buying more and more polishes when I had to leave my last yob. I wasn't allowed to wear nailpolish there. So I kind of got the habit, when I had 4 or more day's of = Polish. But o well I didn't want to buy new polished because I couldn't use them anyway. So when I stopped working there. I could buy!! and o well. It did went the wrong way XD
I had this little box. But well as you can see, it was stuffed, and I had to store some polishes outside the box.. Not really what I wanted.

Smokey eyes Bourjois

First note, I don't like smokey eyes. They don't suit me. But I do like the colours Bourjois has to make them. I just like to lighten tings up.
So today, I'm going to show the purple box of the Bourjois smokey eyes series.
So a full face picture. Not my best ever, I had to turn off the lamp I use to do my make-up lol. It tossed a yellow shade over my picture.

Yep also new nailpolish, will show those tomorrow :P
But well. With my polish and my outfit I had to use the smokey eyes set of Bourjois I bought over a year ago.

 As you can see I in the box and on my lid, I use the soft violet colour the most. The white in the inner corner and the dark purple only under and on the outer side. But o well. I love the make-up It covers really well. And holds the whole day. Not really budget proof tough. It costs about 11 euro..

Racoon

Hello there. No nail's or other make-up today. But something personal :P
Like some people might know. (and most don't)
Is that I'm a huge fan of the Dutch group Racoon. Overall it's quite calm music. With strong acoustic guitar and interesting English lyrics. I've been listening to their music since I was just 15 years old.
And finally I saw them live yesterday !! Even tough I was quite sick. (still am) I didn't want to miss it.
We went Early and I had the best spot in frond of the podium. Managed to get the last copy of Till monkey's fly (their first album) of the merchandise sale. Also bought their third album : Another day (witch was the album that made me a fangirl :P) and got the album here we go stereo for free with it :P Cause the case of the Till monkey's fly album was broken. So even before the concert I was one happy fangirl XD (now I have all their regular albums :P)
Ow and the funny thing was. Waiting in frond of the door before we could enter we saw them having dinner and Bart (vocals) just walked by holding a bottle of wine XD Serious such a maroons.
But well, the concert it self, was great. They are really good live, and still a couple of maroons. :P
Afterwards I managed to get the set list, and the guitarist lost his plectrum during playing. My boyfriend picked up that one :P 

The notes made on the set-list were made by the vocalist :P Thing he wanted to talk about and such lol.
And ash finish the song I liked most live. I would prefer to show you a live version, but there are no good recordings on youtube :P

This is quite a terrible post. But because I had to take my camera upstairs (and my live is kind of downstairs) I didn't make a picture right away. But anyway. The picture after 1 weak. (only the good nails)

The matte kind of fades when it's on for a longer period. It does get a bit shiny :P But well. It doesn't really chip :P

I have quite a lot new polishes since my stack post so I tought it was time for an update :P

A carring oil from herome, and a wonderpen (for cutticles and nails) and a glass file. And a nailpolish remover with withener (my mom bought that one for me cause she thinks I should were less nailpolish)

Eye-make-up using bronzing powder XD

 So I wanted to show you how I love to do my eye make-up at the moment. I actually use a bronzer for blondes XD My mom bought it but she tought it was a bit to metalic for someone her age. So she gave it to me. As a bronzed girl it's not really a bronzer for me but just a shimmer powder :P But I can use the real bronze part as an eyeshadow to !! and I love the effect. (so pic above is the final result. And I'm going to show what I use)

 From left to right. (I don't care about the brands I love these, al just regular brands. Nothing expencive.)
Black Eye shadow. Brown creme duo eyeshadow ( I use the creme for this) The bronzer from Loreal. A brush thingy. White Eye Mouse, White Eyeliner. And a Mascara (people saying they don't need mascara lie! Mascara makes your eyes bigger wich is bettter!!)

 The bronzer is in three pars. I use the lowest (the bronze gold color) for the eye and the whole thing for my face.

 My eye whitout make  up (and huge bags.:( )

 I start to make the inner lid and the corner white with the eye pencil. I always do this, doesn't matter wich eye shadow I'm going to use. Makes my small eyes look bigger :P

 Next I fill the upper lid with the Eye mouse (wich comes out a little brown because that was left on the brush, doesn't matter for now I love the eye mouse as a base) And ad a little black in te outer corner of the lid.

 Now I use the coper over the black and the white. Filling up the whole upper eye lid plus a little above the bow. Not to much and don't close your eyes when doing it. The black and the white will blend with the brown








I added some of the copper under te lower eye lid (just below the lashes.) and ad a little of the creme in the inner corner of the eye. (above and around smudging the white eyeliner a bit) 

And as finishing Touch the mascara !! And I love the result. It's good for every time of the year. And for a brown eyed/haired/skinned girl like me it makes me look good and a little more Arabic :D (yep I'm arabic :P)
