violet fusion ??

 well as you can see (or maybe not) I have this huge tear in my left tumb nail !! I tried to repair it with just nail glue (the white stuff on the site) the black is the tear. The tear isn't just huge, it's in the part of the nail bed where there is still blood underneath. So really painful to !! I can't just cut it! (this actually happens me quite often)
A while ago I came across the concept of fixing a nail with a tea bag. So I googled it and found this little video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0y-R_1qq7M

I used it and polished over it. So I wonder how long it is going to hold. You can't see the tea bag XD of the tear, and it feels really hard so that's promising.
 I polished my nails with Essence Princes Prunella. And P2 violet fusion Crackling top coat over it.
And I'm confused !! It looks brown gold purple err. Ok I kind of tought the princes prunella would be more brown. And the violet fusion more purple. (as you can see in the bottle) but It's a festivity of duo chromes XD One way it's all purple, other way its gold and brown. I made a few foto's without topcoat and some with. In different angles. What do you think ??

christmas shopping :D

Catrice- Lovely Sinner, without topcoat

 nope this isn't what I bought during Christmas shopping :P it is a new polish tough Catrice - Lovely Sinner  from their welcome to las vegas line. OMG I love this one so much. I've seen some negatives about this polish and some positives. I'm positive. It's a lovely slightly pinkish red with a small glitter in it. Compaired to what I'm used of catrice it needs some layers (3 normally I use 2)
Oke it turnes out a bit uneven, but nothing a top coat can't fix right? A great Christmas colour and I'm in love !!

And now to make it even more Christmas :P I added a nice golden crackle, the Herome Crackle gold Geneva.
I love how it lookes. The soft gold of Gold Geneva and the strong sparkling red of Lovely Sinner. 
Germany I'm good to go :D christmas shopping :D Time for starbucks, marrons (chestnuts) and gluwwine. 

Blue midnight turn black

With flash and without. Yea the many is already wearing off. I made it last Thursday so that's ehhmmm *counts on her fingers* six day's ago :P It's my B-pretty Dark midnight. A beautiful dark navy blue. But I guess layered over everything except for silver and white it will turn out black. If you look really good, and in certain light it does look blue. But most times its just black. But oh well. It's less hard than a real black. And it turned a bit darker after I added the top coat. Or maybe it just looks like that. Coming weak I'm starting with Christmas colours. God I love Christmas. We will go Christmas shopping in Germany coming Saturday. Looking forward to it!

Ow and look how the cold weather is killing my cuticles. :(

New blog layout and Herome golden crackle

Heyyy !!

Maybe you noticed but I've been playing with my layout for a while. I wanted it to look a bit more professional. And I didn't really like the way blogger composition. Luckely I have some HTML experience, and blogger allows you to play around with the Html /Css codes. So I made a new header and rearranged everything a bit. And used the regular blogger design to redo the colours and the fonts. Let me know what you think!! Better or worse ??

Herome Crackle gold Geneva

And now my current mani. Remember my last ?? with the stars. Well a little note on that one. Cover it with at least 2 but even better 3 topcoats !! The stars were quite sharp and tented catch everywhere.
So I pulled them off, and to cover up the ugly holes it left I grabbed my gold crackle from herome.
In comparison to the herome Blue Malibu. Their light blue crackle this one really dries matte. While Blue malibu dries really sparkly and shiney. C. gold geneva is a little low on the shine and less on the sparkle. It's still a really nice light gold tough. 
I added really thin layers cause I didn't really had a lot of time. Picture is with one topcoat. 

Herôme's new Crakle series

Yep I already showed you guys that I bought two of them. The new Crackle's from Herôme
First: It's kind of hard to find commerial pics of them on the web.. Strange... But o well
They have 6 colours.
Red, White, black, dark blue, light blue and gold.
The only really origanal color is the light blue in my opinion.
I bought the gold and the light blue. Both are heavy with the glitter. And quite metallic like. I really love that.

The bottles: I think those are a minus. Only the display in the shop tells you these are crackles. The bottles are the same as any of their other special editions, noting else but a C. at the beginning of the name indicates these are crakles. Bad job herôme !!!!
(even my mom was: Those aren't crackles. By just looking at the bottle)

Most crackles come with an explenation, or a how to do. These don't so just like I do the other crakles I take a layer of colour I like (herome lisbon) and let it dry very well. Most dark colours of herôme are one coaters. So on a couple of fingers I just added one layer. On others I had to ad two.

As you can see. I just added one coat on my ring, and middle vinger. And the crackle took the polish with it! So a important note! You need two coats of your base colour. Or maybe one coat and a topcoat to make sure the crackle doesn't take it on a walk.
I used quite tick layers as I love the most. If you ad thin layers it will crack more, just like with most crack polishes. I added a bit to much on my ring finger as you can see.
It is already shiney without a top coat. Something quite rare for a crakle, but I guess that has to do with the glitter and the metallic.

And as last a picture with topcoat. Not really that much diffrence.

Overall conclusion: It's great Herôme comes with some pretty crackles as well. They are much cheaper than the leader in the crakle market Opi. With about 7 euro for one bottle. And much easier to get than China Glaze. You can buy it at the almost any local herôme selling point.

weak points: The bottle doesn't really say Crakle. Wich is kind of confusing. And you need to at two layers under your crakle coat to get the best effect.

My nails of the day. I love the gold, but not on her own. It's to gold for me, but I just love to make a good combination. You can count on more gold combinations this winter !

My fake nails !!

haha, No no, Not fake at all. I showed my aunt my nails like this and she was like: But you have fake nails.
But no, grew them myself XD
But my new mani. It's first 2 layers of Ocean -Gosh.
First time using this polish, and I don't really like it. It's a great colour end it dries almost without stripes. But it takes time to dry !!! Pfff don't really have the patience for it. I tought they were dry at one moment but when I tried to open a plastic bag two of my nails were ruined. Even after going by bike to the city. (15 min ride or so) when I hit an iron bar by placing my bike in the stand the polish got smudged.
But well after that I bought this Impuls Silver Shatter.

I love it. It's a silver shatter wich works really well. It looks great over the Ocean from gosh and this way nobody sees the base is smudged :P there is a small glitter in the silver, it dries quite matte. Maybe I will do a top coat later on.

Ok I told you guys how happy I was with my first Holo, Metallic Green from Koh. Well to come back from that. It was chipping quite quick. I was a bit angry. So next time I'm going to add an other layer of top coat, it's really foil like and just peals off. To keep it from pealing further, I added black tips. I'm still terrible at tape manies. Sorry

 

and an other B.pretty mani, The red crackles really good to I decided to use the crakle silver base from Essence as my base, witch made the red crackle a little metallic to in some parts. It holds up to 7 days with top coat.. 

And my many for the birthday of my boyfriends dad. I had this red dress with black, and roses jewellery. The base is a red from Helen (hema brand)

The roses are konad (black) and an essence plate, And the black shatter is Crackle from essence. I added some extra detail in the roses with silver base coat essence. afterwards I thought it maybe would have looked better if the roses were silver. I kept it on for 10 days! (with top coat)

Next up Essence, and my 1 euro glitter from paris polish. I never wear the ordenairy essence polishes. I got some (purple, blue and red) Color and Go polishes for my birthday, but I hate them! They are easy to use, but break within a day. And the smell awwww. But well I didn't knew what to do (after trying the purple B.pretty crakle again, witch doesn't work as well as the other two ;_;) 

So I got my box, and dumped it in my bro's lap. He chose the blue, and said it needed some glitter so this came out. With and without flash piccu's 

As Promised ! B.Pretty Crackling Polish review

Yesterday I finally could try the Crackling polishes from B.Pretty. It's an Austrian brand (wich means I can't get more bottles for now :( )
But well, my mom brought me 3 colors.  Bordeaux, Violet and Midnight. Midnight is a really dark blue indo color.

I like the bottle's it really visible that these are Crackles, and my mom said it looked really attractive and colorful in the store. They cost €2,- each, and there is 5ml in one bottle. It's not really much but enough to have a lot of fun with. 

I started with one pink base (my all time Miss Sporty pink) And did a quite tick layer of violet. That doesn't work >.< And because I wanted to try all colors I did a white base on all my nails (wild&more :white). Than I added one small layer of each. 

As you can see the midnight crackles really well, they give a big crackle and the ground color is quite well visible, the red is really nice to, I love the color it has I'm really excited to try a lot out with that one!.

The purple crackles not that good as the other two, but maybe when I try a full many it can come out better. 

From this I choose the blue to do a full many with. 

 I really like the result. I added just one quick layer, It covers really well, so more isn't needed and the crackles already turn out really big so it's never needed to ad thicker layers. You can see it crack quite quick, but  compared to the Essence crakle this polish really takes it time, the crackles start really thin, and get wider over an amount of time. At one moment you seam to think it's done but they do get wider slowly. So I waited and didn't put on the top coat right away. They dry really matte, because they don't crackle really much and quite big you can see the shiny layer underneath really well and that makes it look even more matte.

Like I already said, the formula is quite thick, this makes it get a bit stripy when you put it on, this disappears after adding a top coat. And all colors tent to have some color difference, I don't really know what it is, but especially in the violet were two colors of violet on one nail. I think it really has to do on how thick the layer on your nail is.
On the last photo I added a topcoat. Now it gets shiny also the blue seams to get a little more midnight. The strange thing was.. I did the many yesterday, and added the topcoat today (about 18 ours difference) but the tip of my top coat brush turned a bit blue. But it didn't smear on the nail.
So the Plus about this polish/brand
+B.pretty had quite a choice of color, I have the midnight, violet and Bordeaux but there is also black, white, yellow and a sea blue.
+ The colors are really nice.
+ I love the big crackle they give!
+ You don't need much

The bad things
- They take quite a while to crackle
- They don't crackle at all if you ad to much
- strange color difference on the nail.
- they tent to stain if you as other polish (like top coat) over.

Overall I think the plus is better than the minus, And I love them :P if I get close to Austria I'm going to look for a BIPA To get the other blue and yellow to :D

Bean a while

Hello there

Because I had a lot of work to keep up with for school, I didn't really had the time to upload the pictures of my nails from last weeks! So here they are.

Still being in the pink mood and wanting to make a quick mani I grabbed the miss sporty again, and now I'm finally going to look up the color XD It doesn't have a name.... But well, it is from the miss sporty quick dry series nr 302. I love this polish, it's this bright pink, but not yet neon.(a little darker)  I can do every nail with one stroke and it is dry in no time. So a great polish for quick going. Pink is always good on your nails.
But just a plain color is a bit boring :P So I grabbed one of my glitters witch is from paris memories, and yet a polish without a name I think the nr is 250. I bought it at the Douglas. Just for 1 euro XD It's a golden glitter, with stripes as you can see, and a little round holographic glitter trough it. I didn't really knew what to think of it when I bought it, but now I'm using it I love it!

This is my favorite color in polish of all time, I'm using it for quite a long time already used to be a time ( when I wasn't even into polish) when I bought this one, I wore it all days, and got a lot of positive comments about it to. It's P2 color victim 200 rebel. They stopped selling it in NL but I bought a new bottle in Germany.

Anyway I kind of ruined this mani, cause I tried to use the old dried out bottle, didn't have the patients to wait and made it all bubbly >.< And I made the polish a little to thin with polish remover. Well luckey I bought the new bottle :P

To finish the many I did a konad with an Essence plate and Essence  nail art stampy polish 003 stamp me! silver. I'm not that enthusiastic about the stampy polish from Essence. Although it holds better than the konad I have. It's a lot less intensive on the nail. 

I finished the nails with a tip essence nail art multiglitter tip painter 01 so crazy.

At  first I wanted to do a simple french many in a small amount of time,. As you can guess  already I failed at it. So I had this ruined  French beige base.  So I grabbed my gold glitter again and went out. Not really satisfied with the look I got home from school and added 2 extra layers of glitter. (vertical and horizontal) And let it dry, after that I added a layer of black crackle from essence, and I loved the result (just 2 nails on the pic cause I didn't had time to take a picture till now) Below you can see the holo effect of the gilitter !! :D It looked so great in the sun!  

 I'm cleaning my nails now, and if I have the guts XD (cause they are kind of yellow) I keep them clean till tomorrow. Cause I'm going to get a new polish :D My parents are on holliday in Austria, and bought my a violet and midnight purple CRACKLING from B.pretty, There is no review about it yet on the internet as far as I could find !! So I'm going to be the first one reviewing it! I'm really excited!!

I'm trying to start to post how I do my nails every week. Well when I do something showing off course.
I'll start with everything from the last weaks XD when I started making picture's cause I noticed my twitter folowers actually liked seeing it.

Well at first, I was searching like crazy I wasn't into the nail blogs yet and I got air about the crackle polish,
First O saw was by Barry M but I'm not that used to ordering online so I left it. But than I noticed Essence was going to sell it in the Netherlands, So next time I got to the kruidvat I went to search. But off course there was none! There was a place for it and a brochure, but no bottle's. Quite quick I got to know there was a deliver problem. Well that sucks ! But when I was at my boyfriends place I got a call from my mom. They were shopping in Germany and they had the crackle in store !! So she bought me the silver base and the black coat !!

I'm so in love how it looked I actually carried it around for two weaks straight (redoing it once of course :P)

Than there was that free coupon in a magazine of my mom, for a bottle of nail polish (herome WIC), I claimed the coupon right away and set of to the store.  But no herome. And I went to an other store, no herome. Guess what Herome made a mistake, and didn't delivered it!! Serious Kruidvat (the store) hates me.
Well I got to know when they were supposed to come, and got to hear the date of the coupon was set later.
Anyway, eventually I went to the store and there they were !! Even more choice than I guessed there would be. Happy me !! So I chose this metalic purple polish, and just had to finish it with some dark tips. My nails looked lovely !! (please don't pay attention to the length difference. My nails were totally destroyed by my yob.)

Well this one is quite simple, I bought the iron mermaid by catrice quite a while ago, just because the color in the bottle made me really curious. It doesn't really cover well quick, so here I first added a layer of black and then one layer of Iron mermaid. I love how it looks. It's mostly a metallic like purple, but in other like it's a seaweed green. Really nice !! And as a finishing touch I added a layer of holo glitter I bought at the Douglas, just 1 euro. And I still had a giftcard so :D

But when I had the black crackle I wanted more of course haha. Well finally the dutch stores got them, and they were sold out in one day !! And no new bottles I almost when every week but noting new. Till I went to a different store in the town north of my city. (instead of in the city and the city were my boyfriend lives) And there they got a new stack! So I bought it. Well I added a purple with glitter as base. (It's from hema, but really bad coverage.) And two quick thin layers of white crackle. I tried to put a little of silver base on my index finger, to check the result. I do think it does crackle a little nicer, although I do also have a nice crackle like that on my right hand and that was without a little base.
